        • 可作有机溶剂、反应介质及有机合成中间体。用途极广。本品具有很高的选择性抽提能力,用作丙烯酸树脂及聚砜树酯的聚合和缩合溶剂、聚丙烯腈及乙酸纤维的聚合抽丝溶剂、烷烃与芳烃分离的抽提溶剂、用于芳烃、丁二烯抽提,腈纶纺丝、塑料溶剂及有机合成染料、制药等工业的反应介质。在医药方面,二甲基亚砜有消炎止痛作用,对皮肤有强渗透力,因而可溶解某些药物,使这类药物向人体渗透从而达到治疗目的。利用二甲基亚砜的这种载体特性,也可作为农药的添加剂。在某些农药中添加少量二甲基亚砜,有助于农药向植物内渗透,以提高药效。二甲基亚砜还可作为合成纤维的染色溶剂、去染剂、染色载体,也可作为回收乙炔、二氧化硫的吸收剂,合成纤维改性剂,防冻剂以及电容介质、刹车油、稀有金属提取剂等。
